Lord, just when I thought things were going to settle down a bit and that my last quarter wouldn't be too strenuous...

I was wrong.  Wrongity wrongity wrongwrongwrong. Wow, was I wrong.

(Now "wrong" appears misspelled.  Sigh.)

Anyway, while I only have two classes plus their required clinicals, they are pretty heavy-duty when it comes to outside-of-class-time work:  My Transitions to Nursing class consists mostly of computer tests and homework consists of Yet More Computer Tests (which tend to average about 350-500 NCLEX sample questions per week) which necessarily requires internet access.  Guess what I don't have at home?  Yeah.  And Psychiatric Nursing requires 8 different support group meetings logged by week 8 (none of the support groups can be duplicated; I can't attend 8 AA meetings, for example.  I have to go to 1 AA meeting, 1 NA meeting, 1 grief support group meeting, etc.).  Between 2 jobs, school, and the computer testing, I am going crazy trying to schedule all of the support group meetings I need.  Argh.

In other news, my son Caleb is home from Basic Training/AIT until the end of the month.  Wait, you say, what do you mean "your son"?  Well, like the rest of my life, it's complicated.  See, about a year and a half ago, Boe dragged Caleb home with him from the local game store after he overheard Caleb telling another player that he (Caleb) wasn't looking forward to sleeping on the front porch patio that night...in early March (2012).  It turns out that Caleb's mother was heavily into drugs and her shack-up dealer/boyfriend kicked Caleb out of the house when Caleb was 18, so he spent the next year couch surfing until Boe heard about all this and dragged him home to me.  Well, I said, "you can stay with us" and the rest is history.  Caleb is a good kid, he has needed some stability in his life and I've basically become his unofficial mom.  Caleb decided to join the Army back in February, went to Basic Training in April, started AIT in July, and will report to Fort Hood TX in November.  He is being deployed at the beginning of the year.  Anyway, somehow his debit card information was stolen back in May and we didn't discover this until now because 1. Caleb is an adult and I'm not on his account, which is why 2. I didn't open his bank statements earlier when he was at Basic and AIT; I just kept them sealed and sent them with Boe to give to Caleb when Caleb graduated from Basic.  So now I have to be put on Caleb's account in order to be able to clear all this up and get it resolved.  Y'know, in my copious amounts of spare time.  *headdesk*

But hey, life is never boring, right?

Indeed you have been busy!

And it sounds as if you're going to be a lot busier.

Hang in there, get good food and good sleep; that will carry you a long way. Try, even if it's a little between classes or between whatever, when you can, to do some exercises, even if it's isometrics. Try to get some yoga in a couple of times each week, too.
Your body will feel better and oddly enough, so will your mind, even if you're not following a deliberate course of meditation.

You're a good person for taking in Caleb. That kind of goodness means a lot to a young person. And changing one life can have ripple effects for generations.

And you can do it. I have faith in you!
